Fargo Park District
The Club
Fargo Park District operates five public golf courses serving the greater Fargo, North Dakota metro area. Four of those courses — Edgewood, Osgood, Prairiewood, and Rose Creek — form the core of the district's regulation golf operation and represent the heart of public golf access in the Fargo community.
The Challenge
Golfers were gaming the tee sheet. Some booked the same tee time at multiple courses on the same day, deciding which to play on a whim and leaving the other tee sheets with late, uncaptured gaps. Others booked a foursome while intending to play as a twosome or single, just to lock in a preferred time.
Without a way to confirm bookings in advance or surface late cancellations to waiting residents, every no-show and phantom booking became a missed access event — for a municipal operator, that's the metric that matters most.
The Solution
Fargo Park District went live with Noteefy across four courses on their ForeUp tee sheet at the start of the 2026 season, pairing the rollout with a new formal cancellation policy: online booking access suspended for repeat no-shows. The technology enforced the policy; the policy gave the technology behavior to change. Rocky's own assessment of the implementation: “I don’t see how it could have been any better.”
The Results
In the first four months: 2,903 rounds refilled automatically, a 75% recapture rate, 29,921 confirmations delivered, 12,511 Waitlist searches, and more than 92% of Waitlist users are local residents, the exact audience the Park District exists to serve.
The need to fill our unused tee times starts with golfers informing us of their intentions should their plans change. We are encouraged by how our golf community has embraced our changes, as the results are providing more access, which was our first priority.
